Carrier routes and ZIP selections built around your PMA and drive time, not a radius drawn on a map without traffic in it.
Home / Dealership programs / CONQUEST
The buyers who are not yours yet
and the store they drive past.
Conquest is the most expensive volume in the store, because you are buying attention rather than recovering it. That is exactly why it has to be measured. Sire targets around your primary market area, gives the piece a reason to matter to a household that owes you nothing, and reports the cost per sale rather than the impressions.
The audience, defined before
anything is printed.
Audience selection is where a mail campaign is won or lost. These are the selections we work from for this program.
Households in vehicles your store has a real conquest case against — a specific comparison, not a general invitation.
New rooftops and developments in the Bay Area and Clear Lake footprint where household counts are moving.
Where a full carrier-route saturation drop beats a targeted list on cost per delivered piece, and where it does not.
What decides whether this works.
Conquest carries the weakest relationship, so the offer must be the strongest and the most concrete.
One model, one comparison, one dated reason to visit. A conquest piece listing the whole lineup is a brochure, and brochures get recycled.
Expect conquest to cost more per sale than reactivation or equity. If it does not get its own measurement it will quietly subsidise every other channel's numbers.
Every campaign reports the same way.
If a campaign cannot be measured, it cannot be repeated on purpose or stopped on evidence.

Straight answers.
What is conquest direct mail?
It is mail sent to in-market households that are not currently your customers, aimed at pulling them away from the store they buy from now. It is the most expensive audience a dealership can mail to, which is why it needs its own tracking rather than being folded into a general campaign.
Should we mail our PMA or buy a targeted list?
Both work in different situations. A full carrier-route saturation drop can win on cost per delivered piece in a dense area near the store; a targeted list wins when the model or household criteria are narrow enough that most of a saturation drop would be waste. We quote both against your audience before choosing.
How big should a first conquest campaign be?
Large enough that the result is readable and small enough that a miss is survivable. Ten thousand pieces is the common first pilot for that reason, and it is why the planning band on this site is quoted at that volume.
Why is conquest more expensive than service reactivation?
Because you are buying attention from someone who owes the store nothing, rather than recovering a customer who already trusted it. Reactivation almost always returns more per dollar. Conquest is how the store grows past its existing base once the cheaper volume is already being worked.
Do you handle the printing?
The mail house prints, personalizes, addresses, presorts and mails. Sire runs the campaign — brief, audience, creative, your approval, vendor quote, production release, USPS induction and the reporting afterwards. No printing equipment sits in the middle of it.

not the invoice.
Tell us the store and the department that needs volume. We will review the public customer journey and come back with one specific campaign direction — the audience, the offer, and what it would cost to run.
